Stonecliff Blues Band is a fresh yet passionate blues ensemble that brings together a diverse group of musicians dedicated to the rich and soulful traditions of blues music. The band’s name, inspired by the street where they gather for weekly practice sessions, reflects their close-knit bond and shared musical journey. For the past few years, the group has honed their craft under the expert guidance of their music teacher, Matt Quistorf, who has instilled in them a deep appreciation for both the history and the evolving styles of blues.
The Stonecliff Blues Band’s sound is influenced by a wide range of blues legends, including Etta James, BB King, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Our repertoire spans across blues genres demonstrating our versatility and deep respect for the genre’s roots. Whether it’s the electrifying energy of blues-rock, the rhythmic grooves of Boogie-Woogie, the raw emotion of Delta Blues, or the soulful melodies of Rhythm and Blues the Stonecliff Blues Band embraces it all. We delve into British blues, Chicago blues, Classic female blues, Country blues, Jump blues, Memphis blues, Soul blues, and Texas blues ensuring that our performances are as diverse as our influences.
Relatively new to the public stage, The Stonecliff Blues Band is eager to share our love of the blues with a broader audience. With years of practice and a deep-seated passion for the music, we are now stepping out to perform for others. We are ready to bring their unique blend of old and new blues sounds to life. Our performances promise to be a heartfelt homage to the blues greats while adding our own fresh contemporary twist.
